The EEG7000 Enhanced Electronic Governor is designed to precisely control engine speed and quickly respond to transient diesel and gaseous fueled engine loads. When paired with a GAC actuator the 7000 is a significant upgrade for any mechanical governor system that needs flexibility, precision, and/or accurate speed control. The 7000 is designed for industrial engine applications for generator sets, mechanical drives, pump compressors, to off-road mobile equipment. The EEG7000 is programmed using the GAConfig Tool, consolidating popular features of past programming tools into a user-friendly, compact package. The 7000 can also be controlled directly over J1939 with aftermarket displays such as ComAp, Sices, Dynagen, Murphy, and Deep Sea Electronics: a solution for every application.
A built-in USB port on the front of the unit allows for easy configuration with free software available for download from the GAC website. The GAConfig Tool provides a complete dashboard with a graphical Device Monitor screen, making it easy to optimize each parameter for your individual application. |

Application of the Month: ADC100 Pump Mounted Actuator For All Stanadyne “D” Series Rotary Pumps
The EEG7000 controller is designed to work with proportional actuators and is proven to be very popular when paired with the ADC100 actuator. The ADCs compact design mounts directly onto all Stanadyne “D” series rotary pumps providing fast response and precise engine speed control for isochronous, droop, or variable speed operation. The ADC100 is approved by major OEM’s including FPT/Iveco, and is a direct replacement for Barber Colman and Woodward DYNC 70025 & DC 70025 series actuators, offering better load acceptance/load rejection performance. |

FAQ:
How do I wire an ESD5XXX Series governor for speed control with an external potentiometer?
A single remote speed adjustment potentiometer can be added to the ESD to adjust the engine speed continuously over a specific speed range. Begin by selecting a potentiometer with the desired speed range and corresponding potentiometer value as shown in the table below. If the exact range cannot be found, select the next higher range potentiometer. |
|
|
To maintain engine stability at the minimum speed setting, a small amount of droop can be added using the DROOP adjustment. At the maximum speed setting the governor performance will be near isochronous, regardless of the droop adjustment setting. Place a fixed resistor across the potentiometer to obtain the exact desired range.
Connect the speed range potentiometer to the ESD to Terminals G and J. Contact GAC for assistance if difficulty is experienced in obtaining the desired variable speed governing performance. |
