The EEG7000 Enhanced Electronic Governor is designed to precisely control engine speed and provides a fast, precise response to transient engine loads for diesel and gaseous fueled engines.  When paired with a GAC actuator the EEG is a significant upgrade for any mechanical governor system that needs flexibility, precision or accurate speed control.  The EEG is designed for industrial engine applications from generator sets, mechanical drives, pumps compressors, and off-road mobile equipment.  The EEG7000 is programmed using GAConfig Tool, consolidating the most popular features into one user-friendly, compact package.  It can be controlled directly over J1939 with aftermarket displays such as ComAp, Dynagen, Murphy, etc.; a solution for every application.
A Built-in USB port is on the front of the unit for easy configuration with Free Software available for download from our website.  The GAConfig Tool provides a complete dashboard making it easy to optimize each parameter for your individual application.

Application of the Month: Natural Gas-Fueled Cogeneration Unit Powered by Kubota WG752 – 3 Cylinder, 0.74L Engine Equipped with GAC:

  • ATB251T1N1-12 - Integrated Actuator / Throttle Body
  • AFR210 Integrated Air/Fuel Ratio Control and Governor
  • MXSB20-STM Venturi Mixer and Stepper Fuel Control Valve Assembly

Cogeneration (cogen) through combined heat and power is the simultaneous production of electricity with the recovery and utilization of heat.  Cogeneration is a highly efficient form of energy conversion and achieves a primary energy savings of approximately 40% compared to the separate purchase of electricity from a utility company’s electrical grid and a separate gas boiler for onsite heating.

Natural gas-fueled cogen units are typically used for commercial, residential and industrial applications and can easily be configured with a GAC ATB (integrated actuator/throttle body assembly) controlled by a variety of either digital or analog governors with an ‘Anti-Wind-Up’ PID feature that minimizes RPM over-shoot and/or under-shoot.  The ‘Anti-Wind-Up’ PID is specifically designed for gaseous fueled engines.

GAC offers a variety of engine control systems ranging from straight single-speed governors to combined air-fuel ratio and speed control systems that use the feedback from an exhaust oxygen sensor to maintain the specified air-fuel ratio.

Is Your Product GAC Authentic?

GAC takes pride in designing and manufacturing high quality products in the U.S.A. Unfortunately, the down-side to creating such a product means many counterfeited GAC products exist, attempting to capture the essence of GAC. At first glance, these counterfeits may look like a GAC product but they certainly do not perform like one. You can always verify the authenticity of your product by calling or emailing GAC.
